D98 is the economy basmati, grown in Sindh only. Raw grain at 6.80mm, the lower bound of basmati classification. Mild aroma, medium elongation. Positioned where Super Kernel is too costly and PK386 does not qualify as basmati.
GCC distributors take D98 for value-tier basmati programs in UAE and Saudi Arabia. CIS and Eastern European buyers take it for retail private-label, often packed in 5kg BOPP.
